'Ello all of my dear readers. Before traveling to London for this study abroad I had many friends and family tell me to write a blog so they can keep tabs of me and all the places that I go. At first I was a little put off. I don't want to be one of those girls that is like "Here is my blog. Isn't it so cool? Look at all of the amazing things I am doing. Aren't you so jealous?" And also I thought, "Who really wants to read about what I am doing?" But after much thought I came to the conclusion that a there are a lot of you who do want to see what's going on with me i.e. my mother. So here ya go. My very first post...ever.
This has been quite a week. First, I spent a whole day of my life flying. Isn't that crazy? I don't know how some people do this all the time, but my body could not take it. I left the Salt Lake airport at 8:30 in the morning with my cousin Andrew (we are both doing this study abroad). After leaving Salt Lake we landed in the New York City JFK airport. It was weird being in New York but not going into the city. Then from JFK to London, England! The entire flight I couldn't believe that I was actually flying to London. London has always been a dream of mine, so to finally be going created more excitement then I could muster.
Andrew and I arrived in London at 6:20AM. We then had to wait for the rest of our group who were coming on a different flight. After a long wait we all got together and headed out.

| Peter Pan statue in Hyde Park. I have always wanted to see this. |

On my second day in London a group of us headed out to look for the long awaited statue of Mr. Darcy that was rumored to be in Hyde Park. Unfortunately we did not find it on account that the statue is no longer there (see picture above). Fortunately for us something amazing happened. We were standing by the physical energy statue when this lady in a hat walks by pushing a black baby carriage. Along side her was a black dog. All of a sudden it hit me, "THAT WAS KATE MIDDLETON AND BABY GEORGE!" As I said this out loud the two men who were behind her pushing bikes looked back at me and gave me a look as to say "Yes that's Kate Middleton, and if you try anything we will take you down." So obviously I did nothing. We stood there by the statue for a good five minutes in complete shock. I couldn't believe that on my second day in London I had already seen not just any royalty, but the next heir to the thrown and Kate, the people's princess. I almost died.
