This week was so amazing. For our field trip we visited St. Albans Cathedral and then Cambridge. They are two truly beautiful places. And so peaceful. Even in Cambridge where there was more people, felt like this small safe place. I could definitely live there.
Our morning started at 7:30 AM. Once we were all loaded on the bus, it was off to our first stop. St. Albans Cathedral.
Abbie and I got the best seats on the bus. Look at the nice little bar in front of us.
St. Albans
Look at this floor. I can't even imagine how long that took to do all of that.
This type of ceiling will look nice in my future house. What do you think?

Needless to say, St. Albans was amazing. It was full of breathtaking architecture, and rich with history. It looked like a place out of a Jane Austen novel. I could just see Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth walking around the lake with ducks and swans floating by talking about anything and everything. Or maybe that's just what I wanted to be doing. I loved every minute and would definitely go back.
Then we went on to Cambridge.
I bought some fabric from this stand. I could have literally bought the whole stand.
Back when the colleges were starting you weren't legally an adult until you were 21 years old. Beacuse of this they put bars on the windows, not to keep people from breaking into the rooms, but to keep the young boys from trying to sneak out at night.

Our tour guide. Every time he was explaining something he closed his eyes.
I literally took 6 pictures. All eyes closed.
Asians have the coolest clothes. Look at those ruffles on her jacket. And no I am not a creep for taking this.
Courtyard of one of the colleges
Selfie. Had to.
This is the ceiling in Kings College Chapel. It is a fan vault ceiling.
Can you see the fans?
This piece of art is worth 50 million dollars.
Wouldn't mind owning that.
The stain glass was so amazing. They had it in every window throughout the chapel.
In World War II they had to take it all out piece by piece because of the fear of bombs.
It took three years to put it all back together.
The last thing we did in Cambridge was listen to evensong at Kings College. It was so amazing. I truly heard the music of angels. Between being overwhelmed by the singing and the beautiful setting, a part of me wanted to burst into song. I can only imagine how beautiful my voice would have sounded if I broke out into Esmerelda's, "God Help the Outcasts."
Another courtyard. Fun fact: no one was allowed to walk on the grass
unless they are someone of importance to the college.
This clock is in one of the store front windows. The bug on top of it is called a time eater.
It can be all yours for 2 million dollars. Pretty cheap don't ya think?
This is a famous pub in Cambridge known as The Eagle.
In World War II soldiers would burn their names into the ceilings.

After class one day we went to the Victoria and Albert Museum.
This is one of the art pieces hanging from the ceiling.
This is called an origami dress.
This is goes along to prove that Asians have amazing style.
Look at all of those layers.

Me and my roommate Hali.
She is always trying to copy me. I've decided to take it as flattery.
But really we are just kindred spirits who think alike.
This week was a success. I am loving it here in London and can't wait for more of our adventures. I will continue to do my best to keep you guys updated.
